Daniel Kravitz is president of Kravitz, Inc., the largest independent firm of retirement consultants headquartered in Southern California, specializing in the design and administration of virtually every type of retirement plan.
He is also the owner of Kravitz Back Office Solutions, a firm providing web-based back office solutions for TPAs. Daniel oversees the smooth running of all day-to-day operations at Kravitz. It is his responsibility to ensure that all divisions stay focused on the company’s primary goal: extraordinary customer service achieved through leading-edge retirement plan design, excellent client communications and education, and delivery of accurate and timely work products.
Daniel spearheads a collaborative management team of like-minded industry experts who are dedicated to excellence in quality. Under his direction, this team has completely restructured the company so that output to clients is continually more responsive, timely, efficient and personalized.
Daniel is a specialist in retirement plan design. He has successfully revised many programs to include a Cash Balance Plan, which resulted in larger contributions for executives with no increase in cost for other employees. His teaching and technical skills have helped to ensure the smooth implementation and communication of his clients’ 401(k) and Cash Balance plans. Daniel is a graduate of the University of California, Davis, and has completed the American Society of Pension Actuaries exams. He has also been awarded the certified pension consultant designation. He is a nationally recognized speaker on the topics of plan design and administration.

Ken serves as Director of New Plan Design for Kravitz. He speaks on retirement plan issues to CEO groups, trade organizations, CPA and financial planning societies.
He designs plans for professional firms and businesses of all sizes to help them accelerate their retirement savings by adding a Cash Balance plan or simply maximizing their 401(k) Profit Sharing plans.
Ken helped create and launch the Kravitz Cash Balance Coach® program in 2009. He has taught close to 400 financial advisors and retirement professionals how to grow their businesses by marketing and selling Cash Balance Plans.
Ken brings a broad range of business experience to Kravitz. He earned his MBA from Pepperdine University in 1995 and worked in the pharmaceutical industry for 10 years. In addition, Ken has served in Christian ministry for 15 years, five of them as a senior pastor.

Steve Stone serves as Regional Sales Director for the Midwest and Central U.S. He joined the Kravitz in 2015 to launch the firm’s Chicago office in response to rising demand for Cash Balance plans throughout the region.
Steve combines an expert knowledge of Cash Balance plans with stellar relationship management and sales skills. His 15-year record of success in the retirement industry includes serving at elite firms John Hancock and JP Morgan, then moving on to triple the Cash Balance business at a large regional TPA firm. Steve joined Kravitz for the opportunity to expand his singular Cash Balance focus with the nation’s Cash Balance leader.
A Chicago native, Steve holds an MBA from DePaul Kellstadt Graduate School of Business. An accomplished public speaker, he is passionate about educating business owners and advsiers about Cash Balance plans.

Kevin Palm, MPSA, MAAA, EA is an accomplished actuary with over 30 years of experience in retirement plan design and consulting. He joined Kravitz in 1991 and has served in numerous leadership roles throughout the firm, including Director of Compliance Services and Director of Client Relationships. In his current role as Retirement Plan Sales Consultant, he brings his considerable expertise to businesses of all sizes looking to optimize existing retirement plans or add new ones. Kevin continues to serve as a consultant for select Kravitz clients with large defined benefit plans.
With his unique combination of advanced technical proficiency, extensive business knowledge and superb client relationship skills, Kevin can rapidly review and make recommendations on even the most complex, troubled retirement plan. He also consults on the impact pension plans have on the financial status of a company, including reviewing Accounting Standards Codification (ASC) disclosures (formally known as Financial Accounting Standards or FAS). An Enrolled Actuary under ERISA, Kevin earned his B.S. degree in mathematics/applied science from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Steve Sansone is a Principal and Board Member of Payden/Kravitz, a joint venture with Payden & Rygel, which offers the nation’s first mutual fund investment strategy designed expressly for Cash Balance plans.
Steve has more than 25 years of experience in the retirement plan industry. For nearly 20 years, he was one of the top wholesalers in the industry, selling over 1,000 retirement plans for Manulife Financial/John Hancock. Steve was the first sales representative in the country to bring in over $1 billion in retirement plan assets. He has held many industry leadership roles, including helping establish the National Institute of Pension Administrators (NIPA) Los Angeles Chapter and serving as its President for 10 years.
Steve is a frequent speaker at national and regional retirement industry conferences on many aspects of qualified plans. He shares his extensive knowledge on topics such as qualified plan design, fiduciary compliance, investment selection and monitoring, vendor product offerings and participant education. Steve graduated from the State University of NY at Buffalo School of Law (Cum Laude) and serves as a member of the Board of Directors for Bank of Santa Clarita, in Santa Clarita, California.

Carlos has a unique blend of business development expertise, technical depth in plan design and client service skills. He has had more than 20 years of professional success in the retirement industry, most recently generating unprecedented growth in retirement plan sales for a leading New York benefits consulting firm.
A Long Island native, Carlos has been recognized in interviews and articles in regional business publications. He also speaks widely to business and professional organizations on retirement plan issues. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Economics from the State University of New York at Oneonta.

Shannon Hayes leads the Kravitz Atlanta office and serves as Regional Sales Director for the Southeast. She joined the Kravitz team in 2016 to expand our existing satellite office to support growing demand for Cash Balance plans throughout the Southeastern states.
Shannon has built a stellar record of success in the retirement industry over the past decade, with sales leadership roles at The Hartford, Edward Jones and Mass Mutual. She has extensive experience in qualified plan sales, client relationship management and pension consulting. She is proud to have helped hundreds of business owners implement creative tax-efficient retirement plans. In her most recent role prior to Kravitz, she doubled sales in the Atlanta region for a national TPA firm.
